Damp and Woodworm

Make Seymour Construction Building Contractors your first call builder for all damp problems in Belfast and Northern Ireland.

Damp is a common problem particularly in older properties. It can be caused by a variety of factors. Rising damp is caused by either a breakdown in the damp course, lack of damp course, or by inefficient ground levels outside. Typical treatment involves striping the internal plaster up to a metre, injecting a new damp course, and re-plastering.

Penetrating damp is typically caused by the likes of blocked, leaking or defective gutters or downpipes.
